Can you introduce yourself to new readers and fans? Who is Bizzonthetrack?

How would you describe the type of music you make?
It's called Alternative Afro, it's a blend of the alternate music and our cultural Afrobeats.
Who did you listen to growing up?
Growing up I was exposed to a whole lot of Kwam1, Craig David, and 2pac, and that gave me a wider range in music acceptance.
What factors influence your music?
My day to day life is the influence, I turn my stories into melodies to make songs.
You've been in the Nigerian music industry for a short while, what are some of the lessons you've learned about the industry?
There's literally no structure, you have to create yours.
In your opinion, is this an issue that can be fixed?
If the Government as a board gets involved and invest in the process because all we have are a few private labels running their things and independent artistes struggling to get heard.
Lack of structure is one of the many obstacles artists face, Can you share some of your own obstacles?
My first year distributing, I used a popular Nigerian distro, my distributor said I made about 500 streams compared to over 10k relayed to me by the platforms.
If you were to go back in time and give yourself advice based on your journey what would your advice be?
Focus more on the creation, have a mentor, Engage your fans like best friends. You can never be prepared for what lies ahead, just trust in your craft.
Why do you make music, Bizz?
It's the only thing that suppresses my anxiety.
So the music calms you.
You're smart.
Let's talk about your latest project Bisi Kuti, what was the idea when you were creating it?
Bisi Kuti was put together bit by bit to display the intricate themes hidden in sounds and rhythms, each track becoming a sequel to the previous and the lyrics, painting scenes I’ve witnessed to illustrate these themes of love, life, thequest for greatness and relevance, the gift of nature and the intoxicating reasons from nature.
Do you ever feel pressured to make music?
Never, music comes to me at will.
How does getting featured on Apple's playlist feel?
I've always wanted to get heard, that's just a step.
What do you have your sights on?
The most streamed African artiste ever by 2025.
How do you plan to achieve this?
Doing what I always do, making more great records and also improving my reach to other parts of the world.
You're also a graphics designer? How has it influenced your music?
Graphics Designer, Visual Director too cos I direct a couple of Visuals! It helps with my craft cos as the original creator of a song, I envision everything before anybody else. So I have a better angle translating that to the audience than anybody else.
Of all the projects you've released, which one means more to you?
All my tapes are precious to me, I won't trade them for anything.
